The Full Lumen

Completed around 1280, the cathedral  has a single consistent architectural style, Early English Gothic. Sadly many of the original features such as the rood screen, the first organ, and the medieval glass are long gone. However, Salisbury has the tallest surviving pre-1400 spire in the world. Equally sadly, the free standing bell tower was demolished in 1790 thus the cathedral has no peel of bells. The beautiful chapter house contains one of the only four surviving original copies of the Magna Carta.
