The Full Lumen

A "new" film camera
It is always big news when a new film camera is launched, especially when it is a rangefinder. Witness the new Fujifilm GF670 Professional. As the name suggests, this folding camera can take either 6x6 0r 6x7 format photos on 120 roll film. Nice!

It has a Fujinon EBC 80 mm f3.5 lens, coupled rangefinder, aperture-priority automation and manual exposure. Additionally, there is an exposure counter display, an ISO setting dial integrated into the shutter speed dial, manual film advancement and -2/+2 exposure compensation.
The Fuji GF670 Professional will be available In the Spring 2010.
Hold on though, as you can see this cameras bears more than a passing resemblance to the Voightlander Bessa III 667 which was announced about two years ago.

A lovely camera by the way and 6x7 is a really good format.
The Fuji GF670 was actually made available in Japan at the same time the Voightlander Bessa III version was released in Europe. They are now simply making the Fujifilm branded version available to a wider market (USA).
Ah, so maybe this is less news than we thought - I wonder how prices will compare?
PS So the GF670 will be just under $2,200 in USA and the Bessa III 667 is £1,938 here - ouch!
