Brockhampton in the snow

We have just got back from spending Christmas on the Brockhampton Estate on the borders of Hereford and Worcester which now belongs to The National Trust and to quote them boasts “A medieval manor house, tranquil woods and lush parkland, which is home to a rich variety of wildlife”, a spot on description from our experience.

Dating from the 12th century, this survivor of past times is still with us as it was gifted to The National Trust and is held in trust by them for the nation, and a fine job they do of it too.

This year we were delighted by a white Christmas when the woods and park land were covered in a blanket of the white stuff which transformed them into a magical wonderland.

As you may imagine out came the cameras and many snowy scenics were snapped in the bitter cold of a North Easterly wind - brrrr.
